Signed CMR or delivery note sent to you.

What happens at each stage

1Before a carrier gets its first load

  • Copy of the EU community licence, or the German licence for domestic transport
  • Valid carrier liability insurance certificate, with the insurer and the period of cover
  • Company and VAT number checked against the official EU register (VIES)
  • Bank details confirmed by phone with a person we know, never only by email

2For every order

  • A written transport order with the agreed price, dates and addresses
  • Passing the load on to another company is forbidden without our written consent
  • Vehicle registration recorded before pickup and shared with you
  • Status at pickup and at delivery, and an immediate call if anything changes

3After delivery

  • You receive the signed CMR or delivery note as proof of delivery
  • Damage or shortages noted on the documents are followed up with the carrier and you are kept informed
  • Our invoice to you matches the price confirmed in writing

Terms and liability

Read the full wording

We work exclusively under the German Freight Forwarders’ Standard Terms and Conditions 2017 (ADSp 2017). They are referenced on every quote and order confirmation.

Liability for loss or damage in road transport is limited by law. Within Germany the German Commercial Code applies, for international road transport the CMR convention. In both cases the standard limit is 8.33 special drawing rights per kilogram of gross weight.

If your goods are worth more per kilogram than that, tell us before the transport. Higher-value goods need separate goods insurance.
