Privacy notice

This is a translation for your convenience. The German version is the legally binding one.

1. Controller

2. Hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, the server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the address requested, referrer, browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the pages and to protect against attacks.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website. We have a data processing agreement with Cloudflare. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, on which a transfer to the USA may be based.

3. Inquiries via forms and email

When you contact us through the quote form, the carrier form or by email, we process the details you give us, for example company, name, email address, phone number, shipment details and your message.

We use these details to answer your inquiry, prepare a quote and carry out an order. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps and contract) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for general business communication.

Form details are sent through our web server to our mailbox at Google Workspace. The provider is Google Cloud EMEA Limited, 70 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland. We have a data processing agreement with Google. A transfer to the USA is possible, and Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

We delete inquiries that do not lead to an order at the latest six months after the last communication. If an order is placed, we keep the records for as long as commercial and tax law requires.

4. Carrier registration

When a carrier registers, we also process the VAT number, vehicle types and lanes. Before working together we check the VAT number in the European Commission’s VAT Information Exchange System (VIES), and the licence and insurance certificate you send us by email. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is protection against fraud and choosing reliable partners.

5. Cookies and local storage

We do not use cookies or any analytics or marketing tools.

If you choose a language in the notice at the top of the page, we store that choice in your browser’s local storage so the notice does not appear again. This storage is strictly necessary for the service you asked for (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it in your browser at any time.

6. Fonts

The font on this website is served from our own server. No connection is made to third-party servers such as Google Fonts.

7. Links to other websites

External links lead to other providers. Data is only sent to them once you click a link, and they alone are responsible for their processing.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Write to info@trlcargo.com.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

9. Obligation to provide data and automated decisions

You are not obliged to give us any data, but without the details in the form we cannot process your inquiry. There is no automated decision-making, including profiling.
